There was a request from industry participants to extend the submission of abstracts to industry level researchers. Also, Vice Chancellor and the Dean suggested to carry out research and projects in collaboration with industry research groups.  Therefore, the department decided to open up the submission of abstract to researchers in operations, technology and supply chain management who are external to the department. Considering the success of the event, the department decided to continue this event in July every year.
