The Research Centre for Business Management (RCBM) of the Department of Business Administration creates a platform to facilitate building up a dialogue between academics, (under)graduates, scholars, and industry partners in relation to the issues, dynamics, and latest developments/trends in the field of Business Management. Accordingly, RCBM facilitates multidisciplinary active researchers, including internationally recognized scholars, researchers, corporate leaders, industry practitioners and community leaders with diverse interests and expertise to undertake (collaborative) research and professional assignments in the broader area of management and organizational studies with a view of enhancing academic excellence and problem solving in the world of work.
The research works and professional assignments aim at providing insights to expand the businesses’ product and service offerings; introduce new business models; and people engagement strategies—while interrogating conventional assumptions and understandings of organisational processes and dynamics. Thus, the Department is keen to establish strong links/partnerships/collaborations with the corporate sector (both government and non-governmental institutions), other research centres and other educational institutions to conduct research and provide consultancy services. In so doing, the Department intends to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice, and research and its implications on industry and society.
