Demise of Most Ven. Prof. Bellanwila Wimalaratana Thero, Chancellor of USJP
It is with great sadness that we announce the demise of the most Ven. Prof. Bellanwila Wimalaratana Thero, the Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura.
Prior to being appointed as the Chancellor of the University in 2000, Ven. Prof. Bellanwila Wimalaratana Thero served the University for over two decades as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and later as Professor.
The last rites of the Ven. Thero will be performed on Thursday, the 8th of February 2018 from 3.00pm onwards at the University grounds.
