Motivational Workshop on Youth Empowerment

Embarking another milestone in the calendar of 2019, the Association of Public Administration of the Department of Public Administration successfully organized a “Motivational Workshop on Youth Empowerment” on July 08, 2019 at the Faculty premises. The workshop was conducted by Mrs.Samadanie Kiriwandeniya, the chairperson of Sanasa Development Bank and Mr. Sajitha Anthony, a well-known young actor, dancer and singer. Mrs. Samadhani Kiriwandeniya addressed the gathering on the meaning of ‘Empowerment’ and empowering of young women. Mr.Sajitha Anthony shared his own experience on how Arts empowered his personal and professional life and he did an interactive session with the students leading the audience to a different dimension. The event was graced by the presence of Acting Dean of the Faculty, Dr.Nishani Wickramaarachchi, the Head of the Department, Dr. Pavithra Madhuwanthi and all the academic members of the department and students. The day was concluded successfully amidst the appreciation & well wishes of many.
