Donation by 1984/85 Batch of FMSC

The 84/85 Batch of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, comprising of Alumnus from the Departments of Commerce, Department of Business Administration, Department of Public Administration and Department of Estate Management and Valuation conducted a back to campus event on 10th November 2024. a large number of alumni were present. This event permitted them to return to the University exactly 40 years since they first set foot on the University premises. 

During the event, the batch donated valuable equipment to the University. The University was provided with  Three Laptops for use of the University Library and the FMSC received a donation of a Smart Display worth over LKR 500,000 at this event. The items were handed over by Representatives from the 84/85 Batch led by Mr. Nilupul Srinath Perera (President, 84/85 Batch). The donations were accepted by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pradeep Jayaweera, Acting Dean, FMSC Prof. Lasith Gunawardena, Registrar Mr. AB. Weliwita and Senior Assistant Registrar, FMSC  Ms. Roshani Neluwapathirana on behalf of the University. 

The University Medical Centre conducted a free medical camp for the benefit of the alumni. The event was coordinated by Mr. Lalith Kumara of the 84/85 Batch. FMSC offers it’s gratitude to all alumni of the 84/85 batch who contributed to this noble gesture.
