A BEC Student launches a Book on Economic Reforms for Post COVID-19 Era
Mr. Pasan Wijayawardhana, a final year undergraduate of the Department of Business Economics, University of Sri Jayewardenepura has written a book titled “Revive Sri Lanka”, which presents economic reforms for the post COVID-19 period in Sri Lanka. This is the firstborn book done entirely by himself taking ideas from economic experts in order to fulfill the national role of an Economics undergraduate during the post COVID-19 time.
This book is structured to present the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on all the five sectors in the economy, namely; real sector, external sector, fiscal sector, monetary sector and financial sector. The book presents proposed strategies to rebuild each of the above-mentioned sectors during the post COVID-19 era in a timely approach. This book will be useful for policy makers and everyone with an interest of driving the Sri Lankan economy to a massive development in the post COVID-19 era.
The first copy of the book was presented to Prof. W.D. Lakshman, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The official launch of this book happened on 23rd June 2020 at the premises of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
