Dr. Chameera Udawaththa Honored with the Vice Chancellor’s Award 2024

Dr. Chameera Udawaththa, a distinguished academic from the Department of Estate Management and Valuation, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, has been honored with the Vice Chancellor’s Award 2024 at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura Research Awards Ceremony, held on 22nd November 2024.

The Vice Chancellor’s Awards recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions, accomplishments, and the profound impact of academic staff in the fields of research, creativity, invention, and innovation.

This prestigious recognition adheres to the high standards and criteria established by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors (CVCD), reflecting the dedication and excellence demonstrated by academic professionals at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Dr. Chameera Udawaththa’s remarkable achievements extend beyond the Vice Chancellor’s Award, reflecting his dedication to interdisciplinary research and innovation. Over the years, he has received numerous prestigious accolades, including the Presidents Awards for Scientific Publication (2018), the Presidents Award for the Most Outstanding Research (2021), and recognition as a Gold Medalist in the PhD Thesis Competition (2019). His groundbreaking contributions to the fields of construction and real estate were further honored with two Presidential Awards at the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission’s Presidential Award Ceremony in 2024, solidifying his reputation as a leading academic and innovator.
