4th Annual Conference on Business Economics – Inauguration Ceremony
The 4th Annual Conference on Business Economics, the annual research conference organised by the Research Center for Business Economics and Development Studies of the Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce (FMSC) on the theme “Enabling Resilient Growth and Embracing Change for Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth” was held on the 16th of August 2023. The inauguration ceremony of the conference was held in the New Faculty Board Room of the Faculty.
Senior Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Chair of Business Economics, and Chairman of UGC was the chief guest of the event. Senior Prof. M.M. Pathmalal (Vice Chancellor of the University), Dr. Dushan Jayawickrama (Dean of the FMSC), academic staff of the department and the faculty and undergraduates of the Department graced the event with their presence.
Twenty-seven (27) selected abstracts of the undergraduates were presented at the conference and were published in the proceedings of the conference. The academic partner of the conference was Emerald Publishing.
