Post of Secretary General – NAPSIPAG
Prof.R.L.S.Fernando, Head of the Department of Public Administration, was recently instated as the Secretary General of Network of Asia Pacific Schools and Institutes of Public Administration and Governance (NAPSIPAG). She has had a long term association with the network and has worked dedicatedly throughout which has earned her this recognition.
NAPSIPAG is a cooperative body with a vision to improve the quality of governance and public administration in the Asia-Pacific region. They handle conferences, training programmes, workshops and research that will help this aim. The Department of Public Administration of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is a member of NAPSIPAG from 2014.
Prof. Fernando has previously won the Administrative Reforms Reward for her Outstanding Contribution to NAPSIPAG in 2013 at their 10th anniversary conference.
