The FMSC Research Sessions are held biannually with the intention of providing a platform for researchers and young academics of the faculty to share their research findings and promote a vibrant research culture within our Faculty. The 19th in this series conducted on 11th August 2021 at New Boardroom – FMSC. The chief guest of the session was Prof. P.D. Nimal, the Dean of the Faculty. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Prathap Kaluthanthri, Senior Lecturer, Department of Estate Management and Valuation, in the research based on Corporate Real Estate as Functional Resource to Strategic Resource. As the special speakers of the session, Prof. Lalith Chandralal and Dr. J. W. Dushan Chaminda, Department of Marketing Management, shared their experience on the Abductive Reasoning in Research: Reflections from a Convergent Parallel Research Design for Exploring Destination Images. The session served as a platform to promote intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary research culture in the Faculty by presenting four extended abstracts. Ms. Baghya Fernando, Ms. Anuruddika Jayathilaka, Ms. Dasuni Pandithasekara and Ms. Pramoda Karunarathna presented their research papers in the 19th FMSC Research Sessions.
