PCBS April Intake 2026 Inauguration & Orientation Programme
The Postgraduate Centre for Business Studies (PCBS), Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, successfully conducted the Inauguration and Orientation Programme for the April Intake 2026 on 28th and 29th March 2026 at the Faculty premises.
The event warmly welcomed over 430 newly registered postgraduate students, together with academic staff members and distinguished invitees.
The inauguration marked the commencement of the following postgraduate programmes:
- Master/MSc in Applied Finance
- Master/MSc in Business Economics
- Master of Professional Accounting
- Master of Public Management & MSc in Public Policy and Management
- Master of Commerce
- MBA/MSc in Management
- MSc in Waste Management and Circular Economy
- MPhil in Business Economics
The programme commenced with the welcome address by Prof. Janaka Fernando, Director, PCBS. Academic guidance was provided by Prof. Upuli Perera, Chairperson of the Board of Study of Business Studies, while Prof. Dushan Jayawickrama, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, addressed the gathering.
The event was further enriched by insightful speeches delivered by the Chief Guest, Mr. Damith Pallewatte, Managing Director/CEO of Hatton National Bank PLC, and Senior Professor D.B.P.H. Dissabandara, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka.
