Workshop to Develop Strategic Plan of the Department of Business Economics (2016 – 2020)
A workshop to develop the strategic plan of the Department of Business Economics for the period of 2016-2020 was successfully held on 29th January 2016, from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm, at the Board Room of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce with the participation of the Head of the department, Dr. (Mrs.) Sumudu Perera and most of the Senior Lecturers and other academic staff members.
The intention of the workshop was to analyses the competitive environment of the department using SWOT analysis technique, to develop the graduate profile of the department, to formulate strategic intension and values of the department, and to discuss strategic goals, objectives and strategies of the department.
