5th UNESCO- APEID Meeting on Entrepreneurship Education
Mr. Rukmal Weerasinghe, Head and Senior Lecturer, Department of Entrepreneurship participated for the ‘5th UNESCO- APEID Meeting on Entrepreneurship Education: Transforming Entrepreneurs for Sustainable Businesses and Job Generation’ which was held from 26th to 29th of September 2016 in Jakarta and Bandung, Indonesia. This meeting and workshop series was organized by UNESCO Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education, Bangkok, Thailand together with the Binus University, Jakarta and Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung, Indonesia. This was aimed at:
- Share and discuss key issues for transforming entrepreneurs to become job givers
- Conduct workshops on selected topics, e.g, collaborative research, innovative pedagogy, optimizing technology for networking.
- Showcase selected student enterprises
This was a good opportunity to share experiences and learn new practices on Entrepreneurship Education from the countries in Asian Region. Representatives from Japan, South Korea, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine, Thailand, India, Myenmar, Nepal, Kambodia and Pakistan participated to the workshop and shared experiences in Entrepreneurship Education.
