A Workshop on Innovations in Pedagogies and Assessment Tools for the FMSC Staff
A workshop on ‘Innovations in Pedagogies and Assessment Tools’ was held on the 5th of July at the old boardroom of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce (FMSC), University of Sri Jayewardenepura. It was organized by the Staff Development Program of FMSC.
The workshop aimed to provide an opportunity for the participants to gain more insights into various concepts such as transformation in the teaching-learning process, challenges in student engagement, formative and summative assessment types, and innovative teaching, learning, and assessment methods.
It was conducted by Professor (Dr.) Sushma Vishnani from the Jaipuria Institute of Management, India, while it was well-attended by nearly 20 academic staff members of FMSC.
After the workshop, Professor Sushma had a fruitful discussion with Dr. Dushan Chaminda, Dean of the FMSC, regarding future collaborations between FMSC and Jaipuria Institute of Management, India.
